The Privacy Program has entered into a first of its kind partnership with the Japanese Privacy Seal authority (JIPDEC.) This partnership allows BBBOnLine Privacy Program participants to participate in the JIPDEC Japanese privacy seal program and vice-versa. The partnership seal combines the BBBOnLine and JIPDEC seals to form a combined seal that is highly recognized in both countries.
To apply for the Japanese seal a company must simply complete the standard Privacy Program application process. Once you have been awarded the standard seal you are eligible to carry the Japanese seal. There is a small fee and additional simple application and agreement a company must sign.
